While we are so grateful for our rented space at 1040 Dolly Parton Parkway, our new shelter will double the space we have for animals in need and give us more room for community programs. Our 12,000 sq. ft. building plan features large cat colony rooms for folks to meet adoptable cats in a more natural setting, indoor/outdoor kennels for the dogs, practical & low stress exam areas, several visit rooms, and a large community room for additional program outreach.

While this project is being mainly funded by the cities and county, we still need YOUR help. Our fundraising goal is $500,000.

- Land was purchased right down from the Sevier County Fairgrounds. The address is 1008 Old Knoxville Hwy
- Architectural plans have been finalized via Cope Architecture.
- Citadel Contruction began construction on 11/6/23!

With a gift of $3,000, we will provide a personalized bench for reflection and meditation. Your sponsored bench will be acknowledged at Sevier Animal Care Center with a custom plaque.
Tribute Bricks
These beautiful engraved pieces of masonry will line the walkway to our future shelter’s adoption center and pay a never-ending tribute to your loved one. With a donation of $100, you can honor a family member, a favorite pet, or memorialize a special animal or person with a permanently engraved red brick.
An additional option is available in smooth stone granite with a donation of $300. These limited quantity pieces stand out subtly against the red brick walkway and make a elegant homage to your love one.
A Living Tribute
A tree planted in someone's memory is a living tribute that benefits present and future generations, and is perhaps the most fitting memorial gift of all. For your gift of $500, you may choose a cherry or willow tree to be planted in our future Memorial Garden. A custom plaque featuring your loved one’s name and a short quote will be placed at the base of the tree.
Multiple trees can be dedicated. You can give a gift of trees, memorialize a loved one, celebrate a milestone, plant a tree in remembrance of an animal lover or pet, or honor someone with a tree simply because they cherish nature.
Wind Chime Memorial
A windchime with your pet or loved one’s photo and name is a beautiful tribute. For a donation of $100, one will be customized and hung in our future Memorial Garden.
Rainbow Bridge Letter
Donate in memory of a friend’s beloved pet, and we will send them a letter acknowledging your kindness. The letter features the compassionate rainbow bridge poem.

We endeavor to be completely transparent in everything we do. Here is some additional info about how we process items donated for fundraising purposes:
❤️Items donated may be sold on a variety of platforms. These include, but are not limited to: Ebay, Poshmark, Online FB Auction, Silent Auction, Yard Sales, Direct Sales & other SACC events. Example: we may decide that a coach brand purse would do better on our shelter’s Poshmark account versus Facebook auction. It’s all about what we believe will raise the most money for our animals' veterinary bills.
❤️ If we receive seasonal items, they may be held until the next year so that we can sell them to their full potential. Example: if we get a Christmas item in July, we will hold that item until November to make the most impact. In addition, we sometimes hold items aside until we have like items to put into a package or basket. Example: if we receive some cute dog bowls, we may set them inside until we have a few other items to put into a package such as toys, dog treats, or dog sweaters.
❤️Some items may be kept for use with animals at SACC.
❤️Any donated items that cannot be used by SACC will be given to Knox Area Rescue Ministries (KARM) for sale in their thrift store. One example would be used/recycled clothing.
❤️ If you are unsure about whether an item you have would be helpful for our various sales platforms including Facebook auction, you are welcome to message or call us. Of course we are also here for you if you have any questions about what sort of things sell well for us.
❤️Because of the volume of donations we receive, and the variety of selling platforms we use, we are unable to provide specific information about how your donated items were sold after the item has been donated.

Our Facebook auction page alone has helped us pay for hundreds of medical procedures and medications.
